O acidente aconteceu por volta das 16h em uma curva pr\u00f3xima a Ponte de Itamuri, 18 Km de Muria\u00e9. A Pol\u00edcia Rodovi\u00e1ria Federal foi informada que muita gente estava saqueando a carga e agiu r\u00e1pido, chegando rapidamente no local e evitando maiores preju\u00edzos. Uma caixa com podutos da carreta j\u00e1 estava longe do ve\u00edculo e foi recuperada pela pol\u00edcia, mas alguns ve\u00edculos teriam sa\u00eddo com tecidos. O caminhoneiro, aparentemente havia sofrido apenas escoria\u00e7\u00f5es e permaneceu no local contando com o apoio de colegas de profiss\u00e3o.
